Wildlife photography is all about involvement, knowledge, dedication,
determination and a compassion for wildlife. The ingredient common to all great wildlife pictures
is passion. This is very evident in the pictures taken by Dr. Manoj C Sindagi. After completion
of his Post graduation in Pediatrics, he was able to dedicate much of his time to pursue his
passion.
Early in his photography career, Dr. Sindagi was guided and inspired by the works of senior photo-artists such
as Late. Mr. C. Rajagopal, Late. Mr. E. Hanumantha Rao, Mr. T.N.A. Perumal, and Mr. B. Srinivasa.
Later, pictures taken by well known photographers such as Mr. Frans Lanting, Mr. John Shaw, Mr. Mitsuwaki Iwago, Mr. Thomas Marent
and many others influenced his style of picture making. Dr. Manoj Sindagi has served as a Director and as a Secretary
at the Youth Photographic Society (YPS) in Bangalore. Youth Photographic Society is one of the prestigious and premiere
photography clubs in India. He has also been on the panel of Judges for the All India Salon of Photography organised
by the Photographic Society of India, Mumbai.
In 2002, Dr. Sindagi was awarded the distinction of Associateship by the Royal Photographic Society (ARPS)
of United Kingdom for his set of Nature slides. Dr. Sindagi has many awards to his credit. You can read about

Dr. Sindagi's pictures have been published in the book "Encounters in the Forest", which
features the work of the top wildlife photographers of Karnataka, India. His work has also been
published in other books and magazines such as Sanctuary Asia's Inheritance series and India Naturally.
In 2003, he held a solo exhibition of his nature and wildlife pictures at the Expresso Galleries
of Cafe Coffee Day across Bangalore city.
Being techno savvy, he has dabbled in digital photography for more than a decade and has been into digital capture exclusively,
for the past few years. He specializes in conducting
nature and wildlife photography workshops and field trips. He also teaches the nuances of
digital photography for capturing and post-processing of the images. Dr. Sindagi is a also a
faculty at the Bangalore School of Arts and Photography, which is ably managed by Mr. Anand Sharan.
Dr. Sindagi currently uses Canon digital SLRs with an assortment of lenses and accessories.
He uses both Intel and AMD based PCs for post-processing tasks.
Based in Bangalore, India, he has traveled widely across Asia and Africa, to many historical
sites and wildlife sanctuaries in his pursuit for excellence in photography.
